Massage & Yoga Services

At Find Your Balance Wellness, it is my intention to provide clients with professional and therapeutic services in a relaxing and friendly environment. I will tailor each treatment to the client’s individual needs. In my commitment to provide a unique and outstanding experience to all clients and out of consideration for the therapist's time, the following policies and procedures serve as a guide for first-time and repeating guests.

Your session times are reserved exclusively for you. I value your business and ask that you respect these office policies.

Arrival to Your Massage or Yoga Service

Please arrive for your appointment 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time to fill out the appropriate client form (new clients if not already completed online), change and prepare for the service. Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience.

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for paying the “full” session fee.

Scheduling Policy

Services are scheduled by appointment only. To accommodate today’s busy lifestyle we do often have same day appointments available. However, to ensure that we are able to accommodate your preferred appointment times, we ask that you schedule with as much advance notice as possible.  

Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule, cancel an appointment, or reduce your appointment hours. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. 

Any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee of the full treatment price. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.  

No Show Policy

Unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children’s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment. However, please call if you cannot keep your appointment.

Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification will be charged for their “missed” appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made.

Sickness

Massage/bodywork is not appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness. Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition. If it is within the 24-hour notice period, the cancellation fee may be waived.

Payment Types Accepted

Cash and debit/credit cards and most FSA/HSA/HRA debit cards are accepted.

Informed Consent

Prior to each massage/yoga session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit, you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy or yoga policies and procedures. Clients who we have not seen for at least a year may also be asked to fill out this form.

*Please notify the therapist of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients when you schedule your appointment.

Scope of Practice

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.

Licensed Massage Therapists and Registered Yoga Teachers do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. You may be referred to a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. Massage and yoga services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.

Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries

I am always happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it.

The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time.

During a therapeutic table massage, the client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. 

Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.

Confidentiality and Conversation

All client visits and conditions are treated as confidential. As such, your visit will not be discussed with anybody without your express permission.

You may choose to talk or not talk during the massage. Conversation will be guided by the client’s direction.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued.

The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.

Refund Policies

Soaps

Unfortunately, we cannot refund or exchange soaps due to the sanitation of the products. We know that it can be difficult to order new soap products online, which is why we offer our soaps in sample or trial sizes so that you can experiment.
Your satisfaction is our goal and we truly believe that you will love our products, but if you are unhappy, please let us know. We want you to have a positive experience and will work with you if you are not pleased with your purchase.

Candles, Reed Diffusers, Room Sprays

We know scents don't appeal to everyone. We will gladly accept returns or exchanges within 14 days of delivery on candles, diffusers, and sprays that have been unused and appear like new 
Returns: We will gladly accept unused items back for shop credit minus original shipping charges up to 14 days after delivery of item. Items must be in sellable and original condition. Please note that buyer must pay return shipping. Please email info@fybwellness.net to initiate return.
Exchanges: Please email us at info@fybwellness.net to let us know you'll be doing an exchange. We will instruct you from there on how we can work together to do it seamlessly! If for some reason the item sent back to us is damaged and unsellable, we'll be unable to refund the original purchase and complete the exchange. Please note again that all shipping costs are defaulted to the buyer.

If your items are damaged during shipment, please take a picture of the package and damaged goods as soon as possible and send them in a message for our records. We will then send you a replacement if the product is unusable or give credit towards a future order. 

Shipping Policies

Orders are fulfilled and shipped within 1-3 business days. If for whatever reason it will take longer to fulfill your order, we will contact you.

Product Safety and Reactions

Find Your Balance Wellness, LLC is not responsible for any individual reaction to any particular ingredient. Each product description on our website includes a complete list of ingredients. People with sensitivities to any listed ingredient should not use the product. In case you are in doubt always try an allergy patch test and if at any time irritation occurs, discontinue use of the product. Avoid contact with eyes. Our products have not been evaluated by the FDA and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
